Servant Leadership
Religious Education Teacher, Mary Queen of Peace (Rogers, MN) 2012-13
- My first year I taught 4th graders, and the next year I taught 3rd graders and co-taught 7th graders for a half of a year. I definitely did not know what I was getting into, but this is when I decided I wanted to teach.
Religious Education Teacher, Cathedral of the Holy Spirit (Bismarck, ND) 2014-Present
- After having some experience with teaching, and now that I have had education classes, I know a little more on what I am actually doing. I love being able to teach kids about the faith and knowing that I am doing it as volunteer work makes it all the more meaningful. At the Cathedral I teach 6th graders, so I do everything a teacher would do one hour a week throughout the school year.
Youth Leader for Youth Trip (Long Prairie, MN) 2015
- I had to the opportunity to be an example for high school students on this four day event that Mary of Mount Carmel goes to. I led small groups, helped set up activities, and we also helped out at Feed My Starving Children.
